Hawks sport a range of color palettes, from light hues to darker shades, featuring complex patterns involving chestnut, white, black, or grey. The plumage may feature mottled, streaked or solid patterns. In some species, the males and females have similar appearances, while in others, the females are a bit larger than the males in terms of size and weight.
